Practice insurancebeyond malpractice.

Malpractice is the policy everyone buys. The slip in the waiting room, the water loss to a $120,000 CBCT, the ransomware note on the practice server, and the receptionist's employment claim are the ones that catch practices uninsured. We write the whole practice, for dentists, chiropractors, physical therapists, optometrists, med spas and outpatient clinics across New York.

Who we write

From the solo to the multi-site group.

The outpatient practices that insurers like Chubb, The Hartford and the specialty medical carriers compete for: owner-operated, low-severity, well-run. We know what those underwriters ask for, and we put the submission together so the practice gets their best terms.

Dental

General dentistry, specialists, DSO-affiliated offices

Malpractice through the dental carriers, plus property for chairs, imaging and sterilization equipment, and cyber for the practice management system.

Chiropractic & PT

Chiropractors, physical and occupational therapy

Professional liability written for manual therapy, modalities and rehab equipment; premises coverage for treatment areas and gyms; abuse and molestation coverage where required.

Vision & hearing

Optometry and audiology practices

Professional liability, retail inventory (frames, lenses, devices), equipment breakdown for diagnostic instruments.

Med spa & aesthetics

Injectables, laser, IV therapy, body contouring

Procedure-specific professional liability, medical director arrangements, product and premises exposure. We work with the carriers that actually write this class.

Behavioral health

Psychology, counseling, telehealth

Professional liability including telehealth across state lines, cyber for session records, and sexual misconduct sublimits that match the carrier's expectations.

Clinics & groups

Urgent care, primary care, specialty and multi-location groups

Entity and individual malpractice, shared limits, locum coverage, employment practices and D&O as the group grows.

Coverage

What a practice carries.

Six policies, one submission. We explain each before you sign and we read the exclusions so you do not have to.

Professional liability (malpractice)

Claims-made or occurrence, per-provider or shared entity limits, consent-to-settle, prior-acts and tail coverage when a provider joins or leaves. Written with carriers that specialize in your discipline.

General liability and premises

Patient and visitor injuries that are not treatment-related, damage to the landlord's premises, personal and advertising injury. Required by nearly every medical office lease.

Business property and equipment

Chairs, imaging, lasers, sterilization, computers, tenant improvements, inventory. Equipment breakdown for the diagnostic and treatment equipment that stops the schedule when it fails, and business income for the weeks it takes to replace it.

Cyber and HIPAA breach response

Forensics, patient notification, credit monitoring, regulatory defense and fines where insurable, ransomware and extortion, lost income from downtime, and liability to patients whose records were exposed.

Employment practices liability

Wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment and wage claims from staff. Among the most frequent claims a practice faces, and excluded from every other policy on this list.

Workers' compensation and NY disability / PFL

Mandatory in New York for employees. Written to match your payroll and classifications, with the disability and Paid Family Leave policy alongside.

Umbrella, D&O, crime

Excess limits when a lease or hospital affiliation asks for more; management liability as groups add partners; employee theft and billing fraud coverage.

Process

Four steps to bound.

Most practices have their current policies, a payroll figure and a revenue figure. That is enough to start.

  1. 01

    Send what you have

Current declarations, loss runs, provider roster with licenses, payroll and revenue. Our intake reads the documents so nothing is retyped.

  2. 02

    We build the submission

A licensed producer reviews the practice, flags exposures the current program misses, and shops the carriers that write your discipline.

  3. 03

    Compare, line by line

Quotes side by side with the exclusions and sublimits explained in plain English, not a premium summary.

  4. 04

    Bind and service

Certificates for your lease and affiliations the same day, provider additions and tail coverage handled as the roster changes, claims support when it matters.

FAQ

Practice questions.

Does a dental or chiropractic office need more than malpractice insurance?

Yes. Malpractice covers claims about the care you provide. It does not cover a patient slipping in the waiting room, a fire or water loss to your equipment, a ransomware attack on your patient records, or an employee claim. A practice package adds general liability, property, cyber, employment practices and, in New York, workers' compensation and disability.

What does cyber insurance do for a medical practice?

It pays for the response to a breach of patient records: forensics, HIPAA-required notification, credit monitoring, legal defense, regulatory investigations and fines where insurable, ransomware costs and lost income while systems are down. Health records are among the most valuable data criminals target, and small practices are the easiest way in.

Is med spa insurance different from a medical office policy?

Yes. Med spas mix medical procedures (injectables, laser, IV therapy) with aesthetic and retail services, usually under a medical director. Underwriters look closely at supervision, protocols, who performs each service and their licensing. The professional liability must be written for those procedures, and many general-market carriers decline the class. We place it with the ones that write it.

What happens to my malpractice coverage when a provider leaves?

On a claims-made policy, a departing provider needs tail coverage (an extended reporting period) or prior-acts coverage from their next insurer, or claims from their time with you can go unreported and uncovered. We handle the tail quote and the roster change at the same time.
